Have you heard about the attitude of the doctors in most of our private hospitals? New stories keep emerging everyday about how desperate they are to make money for themselves as well as the hospitals they work for. They are known for exacerbating and exaggerating an illness when it is just a mild flu or common cold. On a recent visit to a private hospital for vertigo, I noticed that the doctor insisted on an ECG and a Fasting Blood Sugar test, even before examining me. He insisted that it was the normal procedure to do so. I realised then that this was the norm in most private hospitals here. Man!! How desperate can you get…..
